Huawei has officially confirmed the colours, memory options and pre-order launch for its new foldable smartphone, the Mate XTs, which will debut in China on 4 September. The company has released a teaser video featuring actress Yang Mi, who demonstrates the new Hibiscus Purple colour, a pale purple hue that appears for the first time on a tri-fold smartphone. The video also shows how the stylus works, which can be used for tasks such as filling out documents, taking notes, or drawing.

The Mate XTs Extraordinary Master will be available in four colours: black, red, white and the new Hibiscus Purple. Memory options include 16GB of RAM with 256GB, 512GB and as much as 1TB of storage. Huawei has already opened pre-orders in China.

On the outside, the Mate XTs retains a familiar design with an octagonal camera module on the back. It includes four sensors: primary, ultra-wide, zoom, and the new Red Maple Primary Colour Camera, a multispectral sensor that captures a wider range of light and delivers more realistic colours across all cameras.

The smartphone is powered by the Kirin 9020 chip with a 1+3+4 processor configuration: one super-powerful 2.5 GHz Taishan architecture core, three medium 2.15 GHz cores and four energy-efficient 1.6 GHz cores. Graphics are processed by the Maleoon 920 GPU with a frequency of 840 MHz. The device will also support Beidou satellite communications.
