Rumour: AMD will release a new version of the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card with 16GB of video memory in autumn

On the professional forum Chinese Board Channels, where employees of companies producing graphics cards and other similar devices communicate, there was information that AMD is planning to update its Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card.

Here's What We Know

According to an anonymous source, the American company will increase the amount of video memory Radeon RX 9070 GRE from 12 to 16 GB.

In addition, the novelty will receive increased to 256 Bit bus, but changes in the configuration of cores and power consumption is not yet confirmed.

It is expected that the improved graphics card will go on sale in September or October 2025, probably in the beginning only on the Chinese market.

As a reminder, the original RX 9070 GRE was introduced in May 2025. The graphics accelerator is equipped with 48 compute blocks, 3072 stream processors and consumes up to 220W. Its performance is comparable to the GeForce RTX 5070.
