Xiaomi has unveiled its first washing machine with three drums.
The model is called Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum and is similar in many ways to the Now socks won't disappear: Haier unveils the world's first washing machine with three drums, which was the first such device in the world.
Here's What We Know
The Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum offers three washing zones in one device: a 10kg main drum for outerwear, bed linen and other bulky items and two additional ones for underwear, socks, baby clothes.
Each compartment works independently of each other and eliminates cross-contamination. Smaller drums save water and detergent when washing small quantities.
Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum supports smart functions:
- automatic detergent dosing based on the amount of laundry;
- Xiaomi Home support and Wi-Fi control;
- notification when the washing cycle is complete.
Other technical details have not been revealed yet, but the Chinese manufacturer will definitely find something to surprise potential buyers.
Pre-orders for the Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum are already open in China.
Xiaomi gives a 10-year warranty on the motor, 3 years on the entire washing machine, but in case of a breakdown within the first year, the company will provide a new one for free.
The price of the Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum and the launch date have not yet been announced.
