Helldivers 2 has received a major update Into The Unjust - players are invited to travel to the home planets of the Terminids
Developers from Arrowhead Game Studios are calling on the loyal soldiers of Super Earth to return to the defence of democracy in Helldivers 2.
The popular co-operative shooter received a big free update Into The Unjust, which for the first time in the history of the game is available simultaneously on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
Here's What We Know
In Into The Unjust the developers changed the usual gameplay of Helldivers 2 and sent the players to the native worlds of Terminids, covered with a mysterious fog. The authors moved the battles underground, where the lack of support from orbit, new tactics in confined spaces and dangerous enemies make each mission a real challenge - you will have to rely only on your team and your own skills.
The update introduces:
- new enemy types: underground moles, mutated Terminids and the flying monster Dragonroach, attacking from the air and spewing acid;
- two missions on Terminid planets: destroying a hive and escorting an oil rig under constant attacks.
In addition, the authors fixed a number of bugs, changed the characteristics of some weapons and stratagems, as well as tweaked the overall balance of Helldivers 2.
To make it easier for Helldivers to fight with huge bugs, on the 4th of September a new premium merit (Warbond) Dust Devils will appear in the game, dedicated to survival in extreme conditions. Players will receive:
- a new weapon: AR-2 Coyote with incendiary ammunition;
- G7-Pineapple grenade with cluster charge;
- three new stratagems;
- two sets of armour, cloaks and cosmetic items.
Earlier, the developers from Arrowhead Game Studios said that the Into The Unjust update is just the beginning and will take players to even more dangerous corners of the galaxy in the future.
