BMW reveals illuminated iX3 grille ahead of premiere
BMW has released the first images of the new iX3, which will be the brand's serialised guide to the era of the Neue Klasse platform. All future electric cars of the brand will be built on it, and together with it a new corporate design will debut.
Here's What We Know
Snippets of a video published on Instagram revealed the front end design. The key detail is the signature "nostrils", which are now noticeably smaller and received vertical proportions in the spirit of historical models of the 1960s. They have become illuminated, and the headlights visually flow from the contour of the grille.
It is with the iX3 that BMW will begin to introduce this styling to all new models. But the changes aren't limited to the exterior. The mid-size crossover will be the first production car on the Neue Klasse platform, created specifically for electric cars. It will provide a more rational layout, high efficiency and preservation of traditional for the brand handling.
According to preliminary data, the range will be about 640 km, in the range will be versions with rear and all-wheel drive, as well as a sporty modification M Sport. The interior will have a completely new design with Panoramic iDrive panel - a two-level digital interface, which will go into production for the first time.
The BMW iX3 will premiere at the Munich Motor Show later this week.
