In the future, Volkswagen intends to consistently transfer time-tested names to its electric range. At the same time, the cars with internal combustion engines will retain their familiar names.

A sporty version of the electric Polo, the ID, will also go into production in 2026. Polo GTI, based on the concept ID. GTI. Volkswagen promises outstanding dynamics and maximum driving pleasure.

The day before, on 7 September, Volkswagen will also present the concept compact electric crossover ID. CROSS, the production version of which - ID. Cross - will debut at the end of 2026 as the electric analogue of the T-Cross.

Recall that the ID. family was introduced in 2018 and was initially conceived as a separate line of electric vehicles. The first was the ID.3 hatchback, followed by the ID.4, ID.5, ID. Buzz and the flagship ID.7, which is currently the top-selling electric Volkswagen in Europe.
