Sony has decided to take us back to the days when their brand was the undisputed leader in headphones. At a time when even Chinese brands have already fully switched to wireless standards, Sony decided to return to an empty niche.

At a time when the 3.5 audio jack has disappeared from most smartphones, USB-C has become the de facto standard and is even present in the iPhone - who would have imagined it 10 years ago. While wired headphones may seem like a technology from the last century, they have a number of obvious advantages: they don't need to be charged, are harder to lose, and are much easier to switch between different devices. And in apartment buildings, such headphones will not have problems with a noisy radio channel and unstable connection.

Perhaps 5-mm drivers will not surprise fans of deep bass today, but Sony still promises decent sound quality. Just like in the good old days, the headset has a three-button control unit with a microphone that allows you to accept and reject calls, as well as control music playback. Sony claims that the headphones have a tangle-resistant wire and have a length adjuster.

The Sony IER-EX15C will be available in black, white, blue, and pink for around $30.

And no matter what anyone says, sometimes you want to insert a wire into your Sony Ericsson, start your Walkman with your favourite songs and walk off into the sunset.
