The international technology IFA 2025 in Berlin continues, where Lenovo presented several new products, one of which was the Legion Go 2 handheld gaming console.

Here's What We Know

The Chinese manufacturer seriously approached the update of its gadget, which is expressed not only in increased characteristics, but also in a significant increase in price.

Legion Go 2 received an 8.8″ OLED screen with a refresh rate of 30-144 Hz and support for VRR. The company has slightly lowered the display resolution to 1920×1200 instead of the excessive 2560×1600 of the first model.

The main console will be a powerful AMD Ryzen Z2 or Z2 Extreme processor (depending on the chosen configuration) with eight cores and sixteen threads. The integrated graphics uses RDNA 3.5 architecture and has 16 compute units and a frequency of up to 2900 MHz.

The gadget received 16 or 32 GB of RAM (LPDDR5X-8000) and storage up to 2 TB. It is worth noting that such figures are unprecedented for mass portable consoles.

The Legion Go 2's battery capacity is 74W, which is a significant improvement over the previous model, which had 49.2Wh. The Legion Go 2's case has a new coating, and the console will be protected from overheating by the updated Legion Coldfront cooling system.

The console has detachable controllers like the Nintendo Switch, six programmable buttons, whereas the previous Legion Go can only be customised with two buttons. More new features include a fingerprint scanner built into the Power button,

For fans of shooters there is an FPS-mode, in which one of the controllers can be used like a mouse.

The updated console from Lenovo runs on Windows 11. The device features two USB 4 ports, a microSD UHS-II slot and a 3.5mm jack.

Lenovo is offering buyers a Legion Go Dock and a branded Legion Go Sling Bag.

And now the main thing: the price. Compared to the first Legion Go, the price has increased by $400 and ranges from $1099 to $1479 depending on the processor version and memory configuration.

The device will be on sale in October.
