At IFA 2025 in Berlin, Dreame unveiled Cyber X, the world's first robot hoover that can climb stairs on its own.

Here's What We Know

At the heart of the concept is the Bionic QuadTrack intelligent crawler platform, which works like a mini lift. When the hoover needs to move to another floor, it automatically docks with the platform, which gently lifts it up steps up to 25cm high. Travel speed is around 0.2 metres per second and Triple Braking Protection ensures reliable braking and safety at every step. Rubber treads guarantee traction on a variety of surfaces, be it tiles, parquet or carpet.

But most importantly, it's smart navigation. Smart 3DAdapt's technology scans the staircase in real time, identifying its shape, angle and step height. This allows the platform to accurately calculate the trajectory of movement and avoid errors. Everything happens autonomously - without user intervention.

Both components - the hoover and the platform - are equipped with 6400 mAh batteries, which allows the device to service up to five floors without recharging. Meanwhile, the hoover retains all the usual features: dry and wet cleaning, smart zoning, control via an app and smart home integration.

For now, the Cyber X remains a concept, but Dreame has already stated that mass production could begin in 2026. No price has been revealed, but it's clear that the device will be positioned as a premium solution for those who aren't ready to buy a robot hoover for each floor.
