DJI prepares first full-frame mirrorless camera
Rumours that DJI will release its own camera have been circulating since the company acquired Swedish camera manufacturer Hasselblad in 2017. DJI has neither confirmed nor denied these rumours. However, the company has recently begun to actively expand its product range by entering new markets. Against the backdrop of these developments, rumours have resurfaced that the company is working on its own camera.
It is claimed that DJI is working on its first full-frame mirrorless camera, which is scheduled to be announced in mid-September 2025. Few details are known, but it is claimed that the camera will have a rectangular design with a digital viewfinder in the upper left part. The company focuses on the photographic capabilities of the new product, but knowing DJI's experience in the field of video, there is no doubt about the quality of video recording. The camera may become a competitor to the Sony FX-3 and Lumix S9, and DJI itself may become the first popular non-Japanese manufacturer of full-frame mirrorless cameras.
Main features:
- Compact design with a block on the left, similar to the Sony FX-3, but slightly larger
- L-mount - provides compatibility with Leica, Panasonic, Sigma lenses
- Electronic viewfinder in the upper left corner
- Deep integration of Hasselblad colour solutions
- Sensor (unconfirmed): either 44 megapixels (4400万) or 24 megapixels (2400万)
- Possible availability of IBIS - internal image stabilisation
