At IFA 2025 in Berlin, Baseus, as promised, unveiled its new flagship Inspire series of headphones. The range includes three models: the full-size XH1, the open-clip XC1 and the in-canal XP1. All are designed with Sound by Bose technology - a buzzword that should lend weight to marketing materials. The brand's main promise: quality sound for $130-150, which is about half the price of classic Bose or Sony.

Inspire XH1 is a flagship for maximalists

XH1s support Dolby Audio, Hi-Res Audio and LDAC. The active noise cancellation system here is four-level and is capable of attenuating up to -48dB. The battery life is impressive, with up to 100 hours of battery life plus another 12 hours after a quick 10-minute charge. For voice communication there is an array of five microphones and DNN algorithms, which correctly distinguish speech even in noise up to 75 dB. The exterior is premium, with soft protein leather ear cushions and a comfortable headband for long sessions.

Inspire XC1 - for the active

The XC1 is a rare variant of 'open' clip-on headphones with Hi-Res Audio Wireless and LDAC support. Weighing in at just 6g, it's powered by a hybrid 2-Way Sound Engine: a dynamic driver is responsible for bass, while a Knowles armature tweeter pulls the upper frequencies. Weatherproofing is IP66, and there's support for the latest Bluetooth 6.1 standard with multi-point connectivity. Autonomy reaches up to 40 hours with a case. The design can withstand up to 10,000 bends and the soft medical-grade silicone reduces irritation during prolonged wear.

Inspire XP1 is for immersion enthusiasts

The XP1s rely on adaptive noise cancellation up to -50dB and dual PU+PEEK diaphragms. SuperBass 3.0 is responsible for the depth of the bass, while SuperBalance 3.0 is responsible for overall sound equalisation. Six microphones with AI algorithms help to cope not only with background noise up to 80dB, but also with wind. The battery life is up to 8 hours without charging and up to 45 hours with the case.

Price and Availability

  • Inspire XH1 - $150 / €170, from 4 September 2025
  • Inspire XC1 and XP1 - $130 / €150, with sales starting later in the autumn

In the dry, it's an interesting attempt by Baseus to play the "affordable premium" game. But, as usual, the real numbers on autonomy and noise cancellation will only be verified by practice.
