Amazon announced a Kratos will break into the cinema! Amazon has announced a series based on the famous God of War game, but there hasn't been any concrete information about it since then. All this time, the company has been in pre-production, but it won't be long before it moves into active work.

Here's What We Know

Authoritative film insider NexusPointNews, who previously shared reliable information about the Elden Ring adaptation, reported that God of War will start shooting in March 2026 in Vancouver.

It is known that the plot of the series will be based on the 2018 game and will tell the dramatic story of former Greek god of war Kratos and his son Atreus, who will enter a confrontation with Scandinavian gods led by Odin and mythological creatures.

According to NexusPointNews, actors are currently being cast and Amazon could announce the performers for the roles by the end of the year.

The position of showrunner of the project took Ronald D. Moore, who worked on many parts of Star Trek and the series "For All Mankind" (For All Mankind).

Amazon MGM Studios is currently working on the second season of Fallout (due out in December), Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, Life is Strange and Wolfenstein.
