At the IAA Mobility trade fair in Munich, together with the Volkswagen ID. Cross also presented a new version of the Škoda Epiq concept. The production model will be the most affordable electric Škoda in Europe.

Here's What We Know

The new concept is close to the production model and is noticeably different from last year's version. It has redesigned LED units, grille and bumpers, there are new mirrors. The 4.1 metre long car is comparable in dimensions to the production Fabia and slightly larger than the Indian Kylaq, while remaining the most compact car of the brand.

The Epiq is the first model to feature the brand's signature Modern Solid styling. Distinctive features include a Tech-Deck front end, slim T-shaped LEDs, a pronounced 'tornado' line and relief elements around the wheel arches. The concept was shown in Munich in matte Cashmere colour with gloss black accents, grey overlays and new wheels.

The interior is being kept secret for now, but we can assume it will replicate the solutions of the sister VW ID. Cross: 11-inch digital dashboard, 13-inch touchscreen multimedia, complemented by physical buttons and touch elements. Wireless charging is also confirmed.

Despite its compact dimensions, the cabin promises space for five people, luggage hooks, hidden niches and a 475-litre boot.

The tech is shared with the Volkswagen ID. Polo, ID. Cross and Cupra Raval - the MEB Entry platform. Škoda promises a range of up to 425 kilometres (5 kilometres more than the ID. Cross) and a 211 hp (155 kW) front electric motor.

The Epiq will be assembled at Volkswagen's Spanish plant in Navarra, with sales to start in mid-2026. Škoda says the price will be comparable to the petrol-powered Kamiq, i.e. around €25,300 in Germany. Among the competitors: Ford Puma Gen-E, Jeep Avenger, Kia EV2, Mini Aceman, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Renault 4 E-Tech.
