Interesting information about the main camera of the Xiaomi 16 Ultra super flagship smartphone has appeared online.

Here's What We Know

A reputable insider Digital Chat Station reported that Xiaomi 16 Ultra will get the latest 200 MP sensor from Sony.

The Sony IMX09E is likely to appear in flagship smartphones from Vivo and Oppo as well and could revolutionise mobile photography.

The sensor from Sony will directly compete with Samsung's 200 MP ISOCELL HP2 (1/1.3 inch) sensor currently used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Sony IMX09E will be 1/1.12″ in size, with a pixel size of 0.7 µm. That's slightly smaller than the LYT-900 sensor currently used in the Find X8 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but it's probably the largest 200 MP sensor ever in a smartphone. Sony is reportedly banking on the new Hybrid-Frame HDR technology, which can extend the dynamic range to over 100dB, ensuring a better balance between highlights and shadows.
