Apple will bring back FineWoven, but not in cases
At yesterday's "Awe dropping" event, Apple introduced a new TechWoven case material, which is the reincarnation of FineWoven. But unexpectedly, it turned out that FineWoven is also back on sale. However, not in the form of branded cases, but in the form of a MagSafe wallet and AirTag holder.
The new synthetic material FineWoven was unveiled in 2023. The company created it as part of a move away from using genuine leather in cases. Users were sceptical about the new material - it quickly became apparent that it gets dirty quickly and is very difficult to clean. So the company discontinued it in 2024. However, along with the iPhone 17 line, the company showed a new material called TechWoven, which became the successor to FineWoven.
The MagSafe wallet made of FineWoven costs $59, and the AirTag keychain costs $35. Available colours: Fox Orange, Midnight Purple, Navy, Moss, Black.
