Mutants and bandits won't hide in the dark: developers showed gameplay of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl with night vision device
On release in S.T.A.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl did not have night vision devices (NV) and other advanced mechanics related to lighting, which are present in some global fan modifications for the original trilogy.
Developers from the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World are actively working on improving the shooter and soon the game will have night vision devices.
Here's What We Know
From numerous leaks we know that it is in patch 1.6, which will be released at the end of September, in Stalker 2 will add NV and related mechanics. In the meantime, the developers have published a short video that demonstrates the capabilities of this device.
If it's dark indoors or outside and NPCs don't have night vision devices, then take advantage of it, as they [NPCs] can't see you from afar.
