Sony has officially unveiled the Xperia 10 VII - an updated version of its popular mid-range smartphone.

The novelty has retained the brand's signature style, but received noticeable improvements in design, performance and functionality, and first of all draws attention to the unusual aspect ratio - 19.5:9, instead of the usual 21:9.

Here's What We Know

Xperia 10 VII features a 6.1″ OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 coating, and the device's body meets IP65/IP68 standards, providing protection from water and dust.

The smartphone gets a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD up to 2TB. The device runs on Android 15 and will get 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.

The main camera of the novelty received a 50 MP Exmor RS sensor, complemented by a 13 MP wide-angle module. The front camera is 8 MP. Sony retained the physical camera button, which remains a rarity in modern smartphones.

Among the nice little things - stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6. The 5,000 mAh battery provides good battery life.

The Xperia 10 VII will be available in three colours: black, white and turquoise, and the price starts at €399.

No exact launch date has been announced, but the smartphone is expected to hit shops during the second half of October, first in Europe and Japan and then in other countries.
