Kodak together with Reto brand presented an unusual novelty - a miniature digital camera Kodak Charmera, inspired by the first disposable camera Kodak 1987.

Of course, in the era of smartphones with amazing possibilities for photo and video shooting such novelty has no practical value, but it will be a great accessory for retro lovers.

Here's What We Know

Charmera weighs just 30 grams and measures 20 × 24.5 × 28 mm, making it Kodak's most compact camera. The device fits easily in your pocket or on your keychain, making it a stylish keychain with photo and video capabilities.

Despite its size, the camera can shoot photos at a resolution of 1440×1080 pixels and record video in AVI format at 30 frames per second. The lens is a fixed 35mm f/2.8, and the built-in flash and optical viewfinder add to the feel of true analogue shooting. The camera supports microSD cards (up to 1GB), charges via USB-C and offers seven built-in filters and four frames styled after Kodak's signature films.

The sales format is particularly interesting: the Charmera comes in a "blind box" and the buyer doesn't know in advance which of the seven available designs they'll get. Among the options - the classic yellow, black with an iridescent stripe, red, turquoise and even a transparent version, which is still considered a collector's rarity.

A single camera costs $29.99 and a set of six costs $179.94. At the time of publication, the Kodak Charmera is already sold out on the official website and is only available for pre-order.
