Realme has filed a patent for a new clip-style wireless headphone design. The corresponding application appeared in the database of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). Although brands often register several concepts before launching a final product, the sketches look quite viable.

Details

Unlike classic in-ear or stem models, the new form factor has a rounded design with curved lines that wrap around the ear. This design promises a better fit - especially during exercise or active movement. The images also show speaker grilles and sensor cutouts, hinting at possible support for touch controls or health monitoring functions.

Realme currently offers the Buds Air and Buds Q TWS models, as well as the Buds Wireless neckband headphones. It is not known when the clip-on model will appear, but the patent indicates the company's desire to go beyond the usual formats.

At the same time, Realme is preparing the GT 8 series for the Chinese market. The GT 8 is expected to receive a new display, processor, and battery. Rumours suggest that the GT 8 Pro model will additionally receive a new high-quality camera with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The two smartphones in this line will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite and 8 Elite Gen 5 chips, respectively. Although a global release has not yet been confirmed, the GT 8 Pro is likely to hit the international market in November.
