Meizu 22 - a compact flagship with OLED screen and four 50 MP sensors has been unveiled

There was an official presentation of the flagship smartphone Meizu 22, in which the Chinese manufacturer harmoniously combined compactness, performance and style.

Here's What We Know

The Meizu 22 gets a 6.3″ LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. The peak brightness reaches 1800 nits, making the screen readable even in direct sunlight.

The gadget is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset which offers high performance and excellent power efficiency.

Meizu 22 also boasts of a pretty good camera unit, it has got four 50 MP sensors:

  • OV50H main module with optical stabilisation;
  • Sony IMX882 periscopic telephoto lens with 3x zoom;
  • OV50D ultra-wide-angle camera;
  • front camera is also OV50D with a 90° viewing angle.

A 5,510 mAh battery is responsible for battery life, supporting 80W wired and 66W wireless charging. The smartphone is protected against water and dust by IP66 and IP68 standards.

The thickness of the device is 8.15 mm with a weight of 190 g. The manufacturer separately highlights and ultra-thin bezels Meizu 22 thickness of only 1.2 mm.

In addition, a limited version of Meizu 22 Return to China, inspired by China's Fujian aircraft carrier and J-35 fighter jet, is presented. It offers a unique case, themed interface and a gift set with metal decals - a real artefact for fans of the brand. The Return to China pre-order will open at the end of September, and it will go on sale from 15 October.

The price of the Meizu 22 starts at $420 for the 12/256GB version and goes up to $589 for the top-of-the-line 16/1024GB configuration.
