The Renault 4 electric crossover is now available in a commercial Van version. Instead of rear seats there is a plastic tray with fixing loops for cargo.

Here's What We Know

The cargo area has a useful volume of 1045 litres (VDA standard) and a maximum payload of 345kg. The list of options includes a mesh partition behind the seats, locking rear doors and windows, anti-slip mat or curtain for the luggage compartment.

Unlike many equivalents, such as the Skoda Enyaq Cargo, the Renault 4 Van's rear windows are not tinted by default.

In France, prices start from €29,300 excluding VAT. The base version combines a 120bhp electric motor with a 40kWh battery, giving a range of 308km (WLTP) and fast charging from 15 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes.

A more powerful version with a 150 hp engine and 52 kWh battery is also available. In this case, the driving range reaches 409 kilometres and the peak charging power rises to 100 kW versus 80 kW in the junior version. Fast charging time remains the same - around 30 minutes.

The conversion is being carried out by Renault's Qstomize division at the Mobiège plant, where the passenger version of the model is produced.
