Rolls-Royce has unveiled the unique Cullinan Cosmos, a car inspired by the beauty of space. The centrepiece was a fully hand-painted Starlight Headliner ceiling for the first time.

Here's What We Know

The ceiling, depicting an artistic interpretation of the Milky Way, took over 160 hours of work to create. The artist used over 20 coats of acrylic paint, different application techniques, and finished with hand-placed fibre optic light dots to give volume and the effect of a real starry sky.

The space theme is also reflected in the exterior. The body is painted in a shade of Arabescato Pearl, reminiscent of the glow of moonlight in a dark sky, complemented by a double line in Charles Blue and a Spirit of Ecstasy figure with backlighting that glows like a distant star at night.

The interior is decorated in a combination of Charles Blue and Grace White leather with contrasting stitching and piping. Piano White lacquered inserts create a technical accent, referring to the details of spacecraft. A separate 'star cluster' motif is realised in different techniques: in the form of embroidery on the doors and headrests, and in the hand-painted panel in front of the passenger.

The Cullinan Cosmos was commissioned by a family in Dubai who wanted the car to reflect their love of space and share it with their four-year-old son. The project was realised through the Rolls-Royce Private Office in Dubai, which deals with the most exclusive client requests.
