New Xiaomi 17 Pro results in Geekbench - the situation has changed significantly
Xiaomi 17 Pro is currently being actively tested using the Geekbench synthetic test. The smartphone has the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and 16 GB of RAM. When the 17 Pro was tested a couple of days ago, it scored 3096 points in the single-core test and 9382 in the multi-core test. If in the single-core test this indicator allowed us to get ahead of the most productive Android among the already released (Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Elite of the first generation), then in the multi-core test Samsung had even higher indicators (9476 reference points).
But the situation changes every day. At the time of writing, the last known benchmark pass showed 3491 points in the single-core test and 11219 in the multi-core test. This is more than a 21% increase in the single-core and 18% in the multi-core tests, which is an excellent result. The overall trend is stable - the increase in the single-core test is greater. This indicates that Qualcomm has significantly optimised its powerful core architecture. The increase in energy-efficient cores is not so noticeable, which is not surprising - their main task is to become more energy efficient.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is Qualcomm's future flagship processor. It is expected to be announced in September 2025. It will become a competitor to Apple's A19 Pro in the Android camp, and all flagships of late 2025 and early 2026 will either have it or be based on it.
Since few copies of Xiaomi 17 Pro have passed this test so far, Geekbench has not formed a median value and the results can vary greatly due to the individual characteristics of the samples. We will be able to see a more or less predictable reference value for this model in about a month or two after the official release of the model.
