At the annual Connect conference, Meta unveiled Ray-Ban Display, the world's first consumer smartglasses with a full-colour display built directly into the lens.

Here's What We Know

The glasses feature the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer design, but have become slightly more massive due to the embedded electronics, and despite this, they retain the brand's recognisable style.

The Ray-Ban Display are available in two colours - black and sand - and in two sizes.

The main features of the Meta Ray-Ban Display are:

  • 600×600 pixel display built into the right lens and displays notifications, maps, messages, captions and even Instagram feeds - all without having to take out your smartphone;
  • voice control and Meta AI integration allows you to have dialogues with AI, search for information, reply to messages and control music;
  • high-capacity battery provides up to 6 hours of battery life with the glasses and up to 30 hours with the charging case.

Especially for Ray-Ban Display glasses Meta has developed an innovative wristband to control the gadget. Meta Neural Band reads muscle signals, for example, bending your finger is selecting a menu item, double - hiding the display. The bracelet works for up to 18 hours and is IPX7 water resistant.

The cost of the set is $799 dollars. Sales start on 30 September in the US, and the glasses will be available in Canada, the UK, France and Italy in early 2026.
