Nothing Ear (3), the first TWS headphones with a microphone in a charging case, has been unveiled
Nothing has unveiled the third generation of its flagship TWS headphones - Ear (3). The novelty has retained its trademark transparent design, but received a number of technological innovations that make it one of the most unusual models on the market.
Here's What We Know
For the first time in the industry, the charging headphone case is equipped with two Super Mic microphones and a Talk button, which allow it to be used as a full-fledged headset. During a call, the user can hold the case to their mouth - the sound will be read from the case rather than the headphones themselves, ensuring clear voice transmission even in noisy environments. The case can also be used as a voice recorder or to record voice notes, which are automatically saved to the Android smartphone.
Key Features of the Nothing Ear (3):
- 12mm drivers with Hi-Res LDAC and Static Spatial Audio support;
- Adaptive noise cancellation up to 45dB;
- Bluetooth 5.4 with a connection range of up to 10 metres;
- support for bone conduction to reduce wind noise;
- low latency - up to 120ms in gaming mode.
The headphones last up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, and with a case, the battery life increases to 38 hours.
Nothing Ear (3) support fast charging via USB-C (70 minutes) and wireless charging (120 minutes).
The case is made of recycled aluminium, which adds to its premium feel and durability.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The headphones will come in black and white colours. The price is $179 / €170 and will launch on 25 September 2025.
