More than 2 million Nintendo Switch 2s have been bought in Japan, a sales result bested only by the Game Boy Advance
The gaming industry continues to witness the resounding success of the Nintendo Switch 2: the novelty has already become the fastest-selling console in the US, and now there is information about the rapid pace of its sales in Japan.

Famitsu published a fresh chart of sales of games and consoles on the Japanese market, according to which sold more than 2 million Switch 2 - it took 14 weeks to achieve this result. Thus, the hybrid console became the second fastest selling console in the history of Japan, behind the legendary gadget from Nintendo - Game Boy Advance, which reached 2 million copies purchased in 13 weeks.
As for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS, which in long-term statistics are the most popular consoles, they achieved the specified sales figure for 15 and 18 weeks, respectively.
As a reminder, as of August, global sales of Switch 2 approached 6 million units, making it the most successful launch in the history of gaming consoles.
