Microsoft has announced a new price increase for Xbox consoles that will only affect US buyers for now.

Here's What We Know

The Xbox Series S, Series X, Series X Digital and the special edition Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black will be priced higher from 3 October.

The cost of the consoles will be:

  • base Xbox Series S 512GB - $400 (+$20);
  • Xbox Series S 1TB version - $450;
  • Xbox Series X Digital - $600 (+$50);
  • standard Series X - $650;
  • Galaxy Black Special Edition - $800 (+$200).

Microsoft attributes the price hike to "changes in the macroeconomic environment." Meanwhile, the cost of consoles and accessories in other countries will remain unchanged.
