Barely Galaxy S25 have started receiving One UI 8: Samsung has released the release schedule for Android 16 on its smartphones and tablets, as a portion of interesting information about the next update, which is expected to be much larger.

Here's What We Know

The first information about One UI 8.5 has been discovered on Samsung's servers.

The test build is numbered S938BXXU5CYIA and is for the Galaxy S25 Ultra series.

It is expected that the new Android 16-based firmware will debut in early 2026 with the release of the Galaxy S26 series, but already now you can appreciate its innovations and modified interface.

So, it became known that on Samsung gadgets will appear the function Private Display, which limits the visibility of the screen at different angles, so that outsiders can not consider the information on the smartphone. Separate lines of code indicate that this option can be activated manually or automatically when running certain applications, and also supports Maximum Privacy mode with additional dimming of the display.

The interface of some applications will also undergo changes. In "Settings" menu items will become more compact, the search bar will be placed at the bottom of the screen, and some elements of the interface will receive shadows and gradient effects.

Interestingly, the "Search" button in some menus will be displayed as a separate floating element.
