Gamers and critics warmly welcomed Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater - remake of the 2004 cult stealth action game by Hideo Kojima.

Konami representatives almost immediately confirmed that they plan to release updated versions of other parts, and Snake Eater was chosen because this game is a prequel to the whole series and shows the very beginning of the tangled history of Big Boss and his organisation.

Here's What We Know

Konami has launched a poll and is asking fans to join the poll and determine which Metal Gear game will get a remake next. Let's face it, the list does not include the failed Metal Gear Survive and popular slasher Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - fans can choose from the following options:

  • Metal Gear;
  • Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake;
  • Metal Gear Solid;
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty;
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots;
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker;
  • Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes;
  • Metal Gear Solid: V The Phantom Pain.

Perhaps we won't be mistaken if we assume that most fans would like to see a remake or at least a remaster of MGS IV, as this outstanding game was released in 2008 and is still (for mysterious reasons) not available on any platform except PlayStation 3, and not everyone is ready to deal with the installation and configuration of emulators.

Anyone can cast their vote, but you'll have to spend a little time to do so, as you'll have to use a Japanese translator.
