German dealer Carpoint, known for its Dacia Duster-based projects, has unveiled tuning packages for the Bigster crossover, the larger sibling of the Romanian brand's best-selling crossover. Buyers are offered a choice between brutal off-road styling and a sportier on-road dodger.

Here's What We Know

The new options are part of the Redust range, following the formula already tried and tested on the Duster. The models share many design similarities, although the Bigster features a revised front bumper, longer wheelbase and extended rear overhang.

Most spectacular is the Redust Offroad kit, which emphasises the Bigster's adventurous nature. It includes an aluminium roof rack with integrated LED lighting, ventilated bonnet, sills, vinyl window stickers and a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels with 235/65 R16 off-road tyres. An optional ground clearance kit can be ordered.

The Redust Sport package is aimed in the opposite direction, i.e. road use. The main focus is 20-inch multi-spoke wheels with low-profile tyres. These can be complemented with a helical suspension to reduce ground clearance and improve handling. Other elements include a decorative air intake on the bonnet and gloss-black trim on the plastic overlays that harmonise with the grille and roof.

Redust packages focus solely on design and suspension, with no engine modifications. They are compatible with all Bigster powertrains, including the new 154bhp self-charging hybrid system with all-wheel drive.

Carpoint is currently offering the Dacia Bigster Extreme TCE 130 4×4 with the Redust Offroad package for €36,290. This version is powered by a base mild-hybrid 1.2-litre engine producing 130bhp, working with four-wheel drive via a six-speed manual gearbox.

For Bigster owners wishing to upgrade the car with individual components, a roof rack will cost €999, aluminium sills €799 and a bonnet air intake €749. 16-inch discs cost €1,699, while sporty 20-inch discs will cost €1,999.
