Huawei Watch will get gesture support for camera control
An unusual collaboration has taken place between Huawei and Insta360: the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 and Huawei Watch 5 smartwatches have received gestures to control the Insta360 camera, and Insta360 has been able to record additional data from Huawei watches.
Gesture control of camera recording is similar to the way it is implemented in Apple Watch: double-tapping the thumb and forefinger starts or stops recording. Given that Insta360 products are mainly used as action cameras, this gesture will in some cases be more convenient and faster than pressing the record button. The feature will work via a Bluetooth connection with a Huawei smartphone, presumably with EMUI 14. It will become part of the HarmonyOS 4 system, which is already being tested on the watch.

The camera will be able to display an information block directly on the video, which will show the temperature, speed, altitude, heart rate, and other data from the watch.
