It's official: Xiaomi 17 flagship smartphones will get 100VT charging and ultra-high density batteries
Xiaomi representatives have confirmed the impressive battery performance of the Xiaomi 17 flagship smartphones.
Here's What We Know
As reported by insiders, the gadgets will get support for 100W wired charging via PPS protocol (one of the elements of USB Power Delivery).
Xiaomi and Redmi product manager Yu Zhang was not modest and called the increase in charging power an "epic upgrade".
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun also joined the marketing campaign for the new series, claiming the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max have excellent battery life and adding that the devices have received ultra-high energy density batteries.
Since no official numbers have been announced yet, we would like to remind you that insiders have reported the following battery figures:
- Xiaomi 17: 7000 mAh and 90W of power;
- Xiaomi 17 Pro: 6,300 mAh and 100W of power;
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: 7,500 mAh and 100W of power.
The Xiaomi 17 lineup will be officially unveiled tomorrow - 25 September. These will be the first smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
