Xiaomi's first three-drum washing machine is now available for sale
Xiaomi has launched its first three-drum washing machine.
The model is called Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum and is similar in many ways to the Now socks won't disappear: Haier unveils the world's first washing machine with three drums from Haier, which was the first such device in the world.
Here's What We Know
The Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum is already available on the Chinese market at a price of $560 (converted from RMB), but there's no word yet on a global launch date (it's usually within a few months of launch in China).
The main feature of the new model is three washing zones in one unit: the main 10kg drum for outerwear, bed linen and other bulky items and two additional ones for delicate items: underwear, socks, baby clothes.
Each compartment works independently of each other and eliminates cross-contamination. Smaller drums save water and detergent when washing small quantities.
Mijia Three-Zone Washing Machine Pro Drum supports smart functions:
- automatic detergent dosing based on the amount of laundry;
- Xiaomi Home support and Wi-Fi control;
- notifications when the washing cycle is complete.
Xiaomi gives a 10-year warranty on the motor, 3 years on the entire washing machine, but the company will provide a new one for free in case of breakdown within the first year.
