Mercedes-Benz quietly ceases production of the EQB and removes the model from the configurator
Mercedes-Benz will only produce already ordered EQB vehicles until the model's generation change. From the beginning of 2026, it will be replaced by a successor - the new GLB with EQ technology on the MMA platform, which promises significant improvements in terms of range and charging time.
Here's What We Know
Mercedes-Benz's Hungarian plant in Kecskemét is currently only processing orders that have already been placed and is preparing to retool its production lines for the next model. The internal combustion engine version of the GLB will continue to roll off the assembly line for a few more months as it is produced at the Mexican plant. The Mercedes EQA will also be in production for a while, as its successor won't arrive until a few months later.

As part of the model change, the crossover's range is expected to increase significantly - to more than 600 kilometres. The GLB with EQ technology will be available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. The power range is expected to range from 172 to 265 kW.
The battery of the new CLA can be charged at a maximum rate of 325 kW. In this respect, the electric GLB is likely to be on a par with its younger coupé sibling. Internal combustion engine and hybrid versions of the new GLB will appear at a later date.
