Honor is going to announce the Magic 8 series in October, and leaks about the new product's characteristics appear on the web from time to time. The first live photos of the new product were not long in coming, showing the usual design with a large flat screen with strongly cut corners (the so-called R-angle flat screen).

The new right bezel with straight edges makes the body visually thinner. At the back is a familiar round camera ring with four notches (probably three sensors + depth sensor). According to previous leaks, the Magic 8 Pro may get a 200MP telephoto camera. The base model has only one hole for a selfie camera on the front, and the Pro has a "pill" for secure face recognition.

A new button on the end below the power button is striking. It's not the camera shutter, but an AI button for quick access to artificial intelligence functions (Magic Colour, AI retouching, photo enhancement).

The new product will be powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The official premiere in China is scheduled for 15 October 2025. The MagicPad 3 Pro tablet will be announced alongside the smartphone. The global release is expected next year.
