The Japanese brand has officially unveiled the EZ-60 crossover developed as part of its electrification strategy. In international markets, the model will be sold from 2026 under the name Mazda CX-6e.

Here's What We Know

In China, the EZ-60 is available in six trim levels with prices ranging from 119,900 yuan ($16,800) to 160,900 yuan ($22,600). The crossover is built on Changan's EPA platform and is available in two versions: all-electric and as a series hybrid, in which the petrol engine performs only the role of a generator.

The exterior reflects Mazda's design philosophy with adaptation for electric vehicles and the specifics of the Chinese market. The front features an imitation grille with illuminated logo, split headlights and narrow running lights. Hidden door handles, electronic mirrors and aerodynamic channels in the pillars and bumper emphasise the model's technology.

Dimensions: length 4850 mm, width 1935 mm, height 1620 mm, wheelbase 2902 mm. For the base configuration 19-inch discs are provided, in the top versions 21-inch discs are available. There is a choice of seven body colours.

The interior is designed in an enveloping style with a technological bias. A 26.45-inch 5K display is mounted on the front panel. The standard AR projector is 50 inches, with an optional 100-inch 3D-HUD available.

Equipment includes a truncated steering wheel, wireless charging and a 23-speaker premium audio system with Dolby Atmos support. Front seats can be fitted with heating, ventilation, massage and electric adjustments. The second row is folded in the proportion of 40:60.

The all-electric version gets a 190 kW rear motor and a 77.94 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery. The CLTC cycle range is 600 kilometres.

The hybrid combines a 1.5-litre internal combustion engine with a 31.73 kWh battery, providing 200 km of electric range with the same 190 kW motor power.

All versions are equipped with Level 2 driver assistance systems with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, navigation autopilot for city and highway, and auto parking.

Changan Mazda plans to expand its electric vehicle line-up in China before entering overseas markets.
