BenQ has announced the GV32 — a compact Full HD projector with support for Google TV, HDR10, and the ability to project images onto the ceiling. The device is geared towards home use and comes with a 100" screen and a case.
What is known
The GV32 is equipped with a 2.1-channel audio system with two 4W speakers and a built-in 10W subwoofer, providing rich sound without the need for external speakers. Brightness reaches 500 ANSI lumens, and contrast is 100,000:1, allowing for comfortable movie viewing even in ambient light. In addition to HDR10, the HLG standard is also supported.
The projector operates on the Google TV platform with Netflix certification, supports AirPlay, Google Cast, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi. Among the physical interfaces are HDMI 2.0b, USB-A, and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode support and power delivery up to 60W.
The GV32 weighs 1.6 kg and can tilt up to 135° with 360° rotation, making it particularly convenient for ceiling projection.
Sales of the new model have already started in the USA, while other regions are expected to see the model in the coming months. The price of the BenQ GV32 is $599.
