The compact electric crossover has received a rear-wheel drive Single Motor version for $38,950. The new model is almost $6,000 cheaper than the least expensive version of the EX30 2025 model year.

What is known

Almost a year after the announcement, the Volvo EX30 Single Motor appeared on the company’s American website. The outgoing model was sold exclusively in the Twin Motor Performance version with a power of 422 hp.

The EX30 Single Motor is equipped with a single electric motor on the rear axle with a power of 268 hp. The battery is the same as that of the all-wheel drive version — 69 kWh, but the range according to the EPA cycle reaches 261 miles (420 km). Switching to the Twin Motor Performance with a range of 253 miles (407 km) will cost an additional $6,000.

Volvo offers the Plus configuration as standard, but you can upgrade to the Ultra level for $46,650. It includes Park Pilot Assist parking assistance, a 3D surround view camera, and other options.

The maximum charging power is up to 175 kW. According to Volvo, the EX30 Single Motor charges from 10% to 80% in 28 minutes.

For the 2026 model year, Volvo introduced another variant of the EX30 — the more rugged EX30 Cross Country for $48,150 (shown above). It is available only with all-wheel drive.

The EX30 Cross Country features increased ground clearance, a black grille, protective cladding, and wider wheel arches — all for adventures both on and off the pavement. The range is 227 miles (365 km).
