YouTube announced the launch of the “Second Chance” program, which will give banned creators the opportunity to resume their work on the platform and restore their content.

What we know

This program is not an appeal and is designed for those who have already used all available mechanisms to prove their innocence and failed to restore their channel.

All users, except for those who were penalized for using copyrighted content, can apply to restore access to their videos and create a new channel where they can re-upload them.

Each application will be considered individually based on the severity of the violation and current YouTube rules.

Notifications about the availability of the feature will appear in YouTube Studio in the coming months.
