In September, Samsung launched mass production of its flagship Exynos 2600 chipset, which is built on a 2nm process and will provide a huge performance boost.

The company does not disclose which gadgets will receive the new single-chip system, but Sammobile has revealed one of the gadgets that will definitely get the Exynos 2600.

What is known

According to journalists, Samsung will equip the Galaxy S26 Pro smartphone with the new chipset, which will become the base model of the 2026 line. It is noted that the Korean company will act in a familiar way and release the novelty in some regions with a different chip - Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Such a version of the smartphone will be sold in the USA and China. Samsung will do the same with the Galaxy S26 Plus, releasing two versions with different chipsets.

Recall that the Exynos 2600 received the following architecture:

  • the main Cortex-X930 core operates at a frequency of 3.8 GHz;
  • three performance Cortex-A730 cores - 3.26 GHz;
  • six energy-efficient cores - 2.76 GHz.

This configuration allowed the Exynos 2600 to show Samsung has successfully mastered 2nm - Exynos 2600 shows flagship results in new Geekbench test:

  • single-core performance: 3,309 points;
  • multi-core performance: 11,256 points.
