One UI 8.5 firmware discovered an image of Galaxy Buds 4 — Samsung will change the design of its TWS headphones
In the One UI 8.5 firmware leak, graphic files were discovered that for the first time show the appearance of the upcoming Galaxy Buds 4. Judging by the icon with the name list_ic_earbuds_buds4, Samsung is preparing a design update: the earbuds will retain the stem shape but will abandon the triangular case characteristic of the Buds 3.

It is expected that the Galaxy Buds 4 will have a more rounded or even flat shape, as well as inner ear tips, as seen in the image. This indicates a change in ergonomics and, likely, an improvement in wearing comfort. Clearly, the image is schematic, but to understand the changes, you can look at how the Galaxy Buds 3 are depicted in the firmware.

Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro were presented back in July 2024, so the update has long been overdue. Mentions of Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro appeared earlier, but the One UI 8.5 leak provided the first visual reference.
There is no official announcement from Samsung yet, so we have to wait for confirmation and find out if the new design will indeed make it to the final release.
