The horror game Resident Evil Requiem will be one of the first major releases of 2026 and is sure to generate enormous public interest. Not long ago, the developers stated that more than 2 million gamers have added Requiem to their wish list, and soon they will be able to spend their money on the long-awaited game of the cult franchise.

What is known

Capcom announced that pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem will start on October 29 on all platforms—PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.

On the same day, the developers will release a special video dedicated to the Resident Evil series, which will not feature new footage of Requiem, but will remind players of key events from previous games.

Recall that the plot of Requiem will center around FSB analyst Grace Ashcroft. She doesn’t have outstanding combat skills or much experience with weapons, but in a dire situation, she is forced to learn quickly, as her life depends on it.

In Requiem, players will be able to freely switch between first-person and third-person views; part of the game’s events will unfold in the ruins of Raccoon City, and the Umbrella Corporation will play a role in the storyline again.

Persistent rumors suggest the return of fan-favorite Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil, but this information has not yet been officially confirmed.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026.
