The day has come: Microsoft has ended support for Windows 10
It is October 14 on the calendar, which means that Microsoft, as previously stated, has ended support for Windows 10.
What is known
The lifecycle of Windows 10 has come to an end, and the operating system, which was released in 2015 and is considered by many users to be the best in Microsoft's history, will no longer receive system updates or security patches. This makes users' computers vulnerable to hacks and confidential data leaks, so the company recommends upgrading to Windows 11 for free if PC specifications allow.
The end of support affects all Windows 10 users in Home, Pro, and Enterprise versions. Computers will continue to function, but they will not receive any new features.
For those who do not want or cannot upgrade to Windows 11, it is recommended to register in the Extended Security Updates program (ESU), which will provide Windows 10 with official technical support for another year — until October 13, 2026.
