Black Myth: Wukong received a gigantic patch of almost 100 GB: performance increased and texture quality improved

The Chinese studio Game Science has released a huge patch for the hit game of 2024 — Black Myth: Wukong.

What is known

Update number 1.0.20.21756 is currently available only on PlayStation 5, but PC and Xbox Series gamers will receive it soon, and PC users are recommended to remove all mods before installing it to prevent conflicts with the new version of the game.

On Sony console, the patch takes up more than 93 GB — almost as much as Black Myth: Wukong weighs. Developers advise those who lack space on SSD to delete the game and reinstall it, so it will be loaded along with the patch.

The large update size is due to data redistribution, but besides that, Game Science has significantly improved the performance of Black Myth: Wukong and worked on the texture quality, making the already beautiful and technologically advanced game look even better.
