Apple TV+ has been renamed to Apple TV, but the company assures it is not to confuse it with the Apple TV set-top box
Apple conducted a quiet rebranding of its streaming service: it is now called simply Apple TV, without the "plus" in the name. This change was not loudly announced — observant readers noticed it in the press release for the movie F1: The Movie, which mentioned that the film is available on Apple TV. At the same time, the official page of the service still uses the old name — Apple TV+.
This move causes some confusion because the name Apple TV now encompasses three different products: the streaming service itself, a content viewing app, and the physical Apple TV 4K device.
Additionally, in the latest beta version of iOS 26.1 (beta 3), an updated icon for the Apple TV app appeared — it now has colored elements, which corresponds to the overall "Liquid Glass" redesign.

Apple did not comment on the reasons for the change, but it is likely part of a brand unification strategy to make the ecosystem more cohesive. theless, users will have to get used to the new terminology, which currently seems ambiguous.
