Several days ago, the premiere of the animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch took place on Netflix, which has become a kind of continuation of the once-famous series of intense stealth actions. Critics and viewers met the series with mixed reviews, praising the artistic performance and scene setting but noting that the aging Sam Fisher (Sam Fisher) has lost his charisma and more often annoys with his grumpiness. At the same time, on Rotten Tomatoes, the novelty has 82% "freshness," which is a good indicator.

Netflix seems pleased with the results of the first season and is already preparing a continuation.

What's Known

The production of the second season of Splinter Cell: Deathwatch was first announced by the showrunner and creator Derek Kolstad, and soon Ubisoft and Netflix published corresponding posts on X.

The release dates for the new season of Splinter Cell: Deathwatch are indicated as "soon."

Recall that the events of Deathwatch unfold many years after the finale of the game Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The aged operative Sam Fisher, who had long been hiding in Eastern Europe, returns from voluntary exile to work again with colleagues from the "Fourth Echelon" and help a young agent uncover a conspiracy in the Displace International corporation.

Former allies and new enemies draw Sam Fisher into a dangerous game, where the safety of Europe and the truth about his past are at stake.
