NVIDIA introduced the professional GPU RTX PRO 5000 with 72 GB video memory
NVIDIA has introduced an updated version of the professional graphics processor RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell, which features an impressive amount of video memory.
What is known
The new RTX PRO 5000 model will offer 72 GB of GDDR7 video memory, which is 50% more than the original model. This was achieved by using new 24Gb GDDR7 chips instead of the previous 16Gb. This amount of memory opens up new possibilities for tasks related to AI, 3D visualization, and scientific computing.
Besides the increased memory capacity, the graphics accelerator will not offer any other innovations and corresponds to the following specifications:
- graphics processor: GB202
- number of CUDA cores: 14 080 (110 SM blocks)
- memory bus width: 384-bit
- bandwidth: 1344 GB/s
- power consumption: 300 W
- form factor: full-size desktop card.
The cost of the Nvidia RTX PRO 5000 72GB Blackwell is not yet disclosed, but it will certainly be more expensive than the 48GB version.
