The global version of Oppo Find X9 will have the same 7000+ mAh battery, but it is still unclear what the regulator will say about this
According to a reputable insider, the European versions of the Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro smartphones will retain the large 7000 mAh batteries like the Chinese models. Unfortunately, the insider does not explain how the company will achieve this.
Previously, Chinese manufacturers released models with reduced battery capacity values to the European market. This primarily concerned models with large batteries over 5000 mAh. Sometimes the manufacturer did not even change the battery itself, just limited its capacity programmatically. This was usually associated with stringent legislative standards in Europe and the US, which strictly regulate the transport of lithium-ion batteries. With the mass shift of manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom to silicon-carbon battery manufacturing technology this year, phones have started receiving batteries with capacities of small power banks.
Without official information, we can only speculate, but there is hope that progress will overcome political and legislative limitations, and soon we will see a significant increase in battery capacity in all devices.
The Chinese version of the Oppo Find X9 has a battery capacity of 7025 mAh, and the Find X9 Pro — 7500 mAh. The global release is expected next week — October 28, and sales will not begin before the end of November, as the model has not yet passed all the bureaucratic certification processes.
