Xiaomi has introduced a new product for the smart home — the Mijia Smart Electric Blanket (single-user model). The device is now available for crowdfunding on the Youpin platform in China at an initial price of 179 yuan (≈ $25), and the retail price after mass production will be 239 yuan (≈ $35). Deliveries are expected to begin on October 24, 2025.

The blanket measures 1.8 × 0.8 meters, suitable for single beds. Its surface is made of soft polyester, with hidden heating elements inside with a power of 80 watts. Xiaomi uses triple insulation that provides even heat without overheating or the risk of short circuits.

The unique advantage is integration into the smart home system and remote control. The user can change the settings manually via the remote or remotely via the Mijia app. The app offers temperature programming, timer-based automation, and interaction with other Xiaomi devices (for example, setting it to turn on when a smart door lock is opened), as well as voice control through Xiao AI. There is a special 'night mode' that automatically adjusts the temperature during sleep for maximum comfort.

Besides heating, the blanket has modes for high-temperature mite removal and drying, helping to keep bed linens fresh. Safety is ensured by an eight-layer protection system and 3C certification, with a minimal level of electromagnetic radiation.

A global release is unlikely, but given Xiaomi's active expansion in the smart home field, the Mijia Smart Electric Blanket might appear in other markets.
