Jeep completed production of the Renegade model
After 11 years on the market, the career of the Jeep Renegade has ended. Production of the compact crossover has ceased — it followed the example of its sibling, the Fiat 500X, which was based on the same platform and also assembled at the same plant.
What is Known
The information on the cessation of production of the Jeep Renegade was confirmed by a Jeep representative in a comment to the publication auto motor und sport.
The Jeep Renegade was not an ordinary Jeep. Not because of its size or the availability of front-wheel drive versions. It was the brand's first model produced outside the United States — in Italian Melfi. At just 4.24 meters long, it was perfect for the European, especially Italian public, who craves crossovers, but not large ones.

Angular shapes typical of the off-road world, good equipment, gasoline, diesel, and later electrified engines to satisfy different motorists. Even those who did not want all-wheel drive, the Jeep Renegade was available with front-wheel drive. But with all-wheel drive, it performed excellently off-road. Moreover, many government agencies in Italy chose the Renegade.
Now that the Renegade has been bid farewell, the weight of the important small crossover segment rests solely on the shoulders of the Avenger. It is significantly smaller (4.08 meters in length) and is available with hybrid or electric drive.
There is no direct successor to the Renegade planned at the moment, although there are rumors of a new model with similar dimensions on the STLA Small platform, which may appear in 2027. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
